Duval County Council of PTAs/PTSAs is a resource for members of the Jacksonville Beach Elementary PTA. The DCCPTA has more than 35,000 members in about 160 Parent/Teacher Associations throughout the Duval County school district. Examples of activities run by the County Council include sponsoring and staffing the Teacher Supply Depot, conducting leadership workshops in the fall and spring, funding scholarships at FCCJ and UNF, and coordinating Reflections and vision screening throughout the county. General membership meetings are open to all PTA members, although voting privileges are reserved for the board, PTA presidents and delegates.

General meetings of the DCCPTA for the 2007-08 year take place on the third Tuesday of each month beginning at 10:00 a.m. in the Cline Auditorium on the 1st floor of the School Board Building, 1701 Prudential Drive. Hospitality begins at 9:30 a.m., and meetings adjourn by noon. Programs feature topics of relevance to parents and teachers, and Florida educational legislative action is tracked and reported. All PTA members are welcome to attend!

Meeting dates for the 2007-08 school year are: August 28, September 18, October 16, November 13 (2nd Tuesday), December – No Meeting, January 15, February 19, March 18, April 15, May – P & P Luncheon –May 1
